Melissa Jill  Hi Aleson! That’s exciting that you are ordering two samples! You can do any combo that makes sense for you, but I did a 10x10 thick page leather covered for my couples and then an 8x8 thin page linen covered duplicate album as a parent album. I felt like that was a great set. It also keeps the parent albums inexpensive. You can use the calculator at the bottom of this page to find your cost (remember to also factor in $8/spread for the design) and then markup to the profit you want to make: https://alignalbumdesign.com/books.cfm Hope this helps!  12/24/22 - 10:58AM
Aleson  Hi Melissa, I’m making 2 sample album before the year ends. Just can’t decide if I want A 10x10 and 12x12 thick page with leather or 8x8 and 10x10 thin. Not sure if I should add 2 or 3 options! Should I base it on price? I know I want to make a minimum of $500! I have been reading Melissa’s Jill blog to see if I’m missing something in my delivery! Ordering my sample albums are key!  12/24/22 - 2:52AM
Melissa Jill  Hi Amanda! That’s a great question! We actually have a whole other post about how to pick an album company here — http://alignalbumdesign.com/blog.cfm?postID=102&how-to-pick-an-album-company Good luck to you and let us know if there is anything else we can help with!  3/19/16 - 4:49PM
Amanda  As I'm starting to dive into offering albums for my clients, and feeling overwhelmed with the amount of choices I'm given - this is exactly what I needed to read. I love your idea of showing two different albums and leaving it at that. I want to make it as easy as possible for my clients to get their albums in their own hands! Do you have any specific suggestions for checking out the different options companies offer for albums aside from ordering 843 studio samples? Also, your remodel turned out beautifully and your dog on the couch is adorable!!  3/18/16 - 5:57PM
Shannon Morton  First of all, your living room looks awesome!! Second of all, you are absolutely right about choices. There is a great Ted Talk about choice that I have my new sales people watch because it clearly outlines how too many choices causes people to freeze and give up on the buying experience. It's absolutely true!!  8/22/15 - 9:30PM
Oriana  I love the analogy with your brick-buying experience. Totally makes sense -- keep it simple. P.S. The family room looks great!  10/10/14 - 12:22PM
Jen Philips  This makes so much sense, Melissa! I really like the simplicity of this approach!  10/9/14 - 12:39PM
