It's tempting to try to please your clients by fitting as many of their favorite photos into their design as possible -- while still keeping the number of pages in your album to a minimum to save on costs. But if you present a cluttered design to your clients, you sell your images, your brand, and your clients short. 
 
There's a reason empty space exists in album design. Much like matting for a framed print, empty space lends importance, elegance and clarity to your images. It implies that what it surrounds is quality. Clutter requires too much effort on the part of the viewer to differentiate individual images and "read" the story. In a cluttered design, your gorgeous images will be quickly passed over. 
 
At Align, we are happy to meet your individual design preferences. But we encourage you not to sacrifice empty space to save on costs. If you want your brand and images to be synonymous with quality and elegance, allow us to highlight them and design a simple album with plenty of empty space that says -- "Look here! THIS is important. THIS is quality."
