Impeccable Outdoor Wedding By Angela Newton Roy

Album Designs
You've GOT to check out the portraits in this album design! Not only did the Snug Harbor Cultural Center provide SUCH unique greenery and architecture for this beautiful New York City wedding, but Angela Newton Roy simply knocked it out of the park with her photography! Angela writes on her blog, "There were SO many stunning places at Snug Harbor for beautiful portraits, but we could have been anywhere and these two would have made them perfect. You can literally see how much they love each other in each one. From their smiles, to the way they linger in their kisses, to their hugs...their love makes the portraits gorgeous."

Cue the "awwwwws" now!

Angela is a film and digital photographer based out of Washington, DC and NYC whose soft and romantic images make us swoon! After the design process was complete, Angela shared the following thoughts, "It was so much fun to relive Amanda and Matt's gorgeous wedding day during the design of their album. Working with Align helped me deliver a perfect album to the couple. By starting with a few of their favorite images, including family formals they wanted included in their design, I was able to select the rest that would tell a good story, then hand them over to the designer Sarah at Align. It was so easy to communicate to her the overall feel and aesthetic I wanted for the album, and I could tell right away that she 'got it'. She kept it clean and classic, and nailed it with her design choices. The couple only had to make one or two swaps, and that was so easy to do with Align managing it for me! The process from start to finish was so smooth, and kept my workflow moving right along. I'm so thankful they created such a stunning album for Amanda and Matt. I know they love it and will cherish it for years to come!"

More "awwwws" are happening now! Thanks for letting us work with your beautiful images, Angela!

Stunning Outdoor Wedding by Abby Grace Photography

Album Designs
Woohoo -- we get to share a beautiful Abby Grace Photography album with you today! Abby is a fun & talented photographer based in Washington DC, who recently wrote the following on her blog

Albums are the perfect heirloom to give your children, grandchildren, and more. A way to say "this is what our love looked like the day our story took on forever". Plus, there are only so many framed wedding photographs you can put on your walls before it starts to get weird. Whereas 30 pages worth of wedding album is perfectly normal!

Amen to that! When my husband and I moved into our current apartment soon after our wedding, I just could NOT decide on a sole favorite wedding photo to hang up! Fortunately, we received a 12-image collage frame as a wedding gift which gave me the option of putting up a dozen wedding photos in our entryway. Fast forward a few years... the collage frame now feels awkwardly excessive since the photos are no longer recent. When we move to a new place later this year, I intend to downsize to one wedding photo on the wall. It makes me sad that the single portrait will no longer tell "the story" of our wedding day, but never fear, that's exactly what our wedding album is for! Even after the wedding photos on our walls are completely replaced by photos of our travels, our pets, our future children, etc., I intend for our wedding album to still be available on our bookshelf or coffee table. No shame in that!

Now it's time to check out this beautiful Leather Craftsmen album that Abby's clients (and their children and grandchildren) will hopefully treasure forever. Thanks for sending us these photographs, Abby!

Cathedral Wedding by Rebekah J. Murray Photography

Album Designs
Oooh la la! We're loving this album design featuring an elegant cathedral wedding photographed by Rebekah J. Murray Photography. Rebekah is an artistic, romantic photographer based in Northern Virginia & Washington DC. When she ordered this album design, she told her designer that she loves designs that have spreads with lots of negative space balanced by pages with full bleed images. I think that combination turned out beautifully!!

Another reason we love Rebekah is because she was willing to take photographs of this album after it was printed! We love seeing the final result! Here are some photos of the album she ordered from Madera Books.

Gorgeous North Carolina Wedding by Allison Mannella Photography

Album Designs, Featured Clients
As a business that prides itself on making photographers' lives easier, nothing is more affirming than unexpectedly discovering one of our clients sharing their love for Align (and albums in general!) with their fellow photographers. Recently, North Carolina fine art film photographer Allison Mannella brightened our day by including Align in a blog post about her experience with albums. Here's an excerpt:

"As for the design of the album layout, I learned very early on in my career to outsource this task to an outside party. Initially, this was out of necessity. I was working about 60 hours a week, not including my photography business, so I knew I didn't have the time or energy to layout quality designs to my clients promptly. Even since becoming a full-time photographer, I continue to outsource the design because I find that as the photographer, I am still too personally and emotionally attached to the photographs. It would be easy for me to spend a full two days laying out one album, which is probably not the best use of my time! I highly recommend trying out Align to save time in your workflow, especially if you don't enjoy the design process or if you're like me, and enjoy it way too much!" ...Read her full post here.

And the cherry on top of this awesome surprise was getting to view photographs of an album Allison printed at Miller's Lab after Align created the album design. We LOVE seeing our work in print! Allison, thank you SO MUCH for taking these photographs and sharing your testimonial with other photographers!

Here are some of our favorite spreads mixed in with the photographs of the final album...
