We have such a special relationship with Charity Maurer, the photographer behind today's featured album design. Can anyone guess why? This throwback blog post from Align's early days is a hint. Yep, Charity used to be one of Align's album designers! She left Align in 2014 to grow her own business as fine art wedding photographer located in Phoenix, Arizona. 
 
Then in early 2017 she found herself craving more free time to spend with her two little ones at home. She was ready to hand off her album designs and we were beyond thrilled to work with her again! We feel SO honored to design albums for a former professional album designer!  
 
The following album design showcases Charity's photographs of a gorgeous Arizona wedding. We love the beauty of Charity's film photography and the elegance of this desert soiree. So much loveliness in one album design!

The other day I was mindlessly scrolling through Instagram (as one does) and came across a gorgeous album photo by Texas wedding photographer Paige Vaughn! It caught my eye before I even realized that it was one of our Align Legacy Books, so I did a little happy dance after I checked her hashtags to confirm that this beauty really was one of ours! In addition to Paige's beautiful photography for a sweet Houston wedding on the inner pages, we also adore the styled photos she took of the finished album. How cute are these florals and ribbon!? So you better believe that I immediately asked Paige if we could share her photos too! Thanks, Paige, for saying yes! 
 
What is an Align Legacy Book? Glad you asked! ;) Here at Align, we have been providing album design services to hundreds of photographers for almost 6 years. But starting last year, we began offering our own in-house line of high-quality printed albums too! See this page for all the details.  
 
The Align Legacy Book that Paige ordered is a 10x10 album with a Silhouette colored linen cover with a cameo cutout photo. The interior contains 16 spreads with our thin-page paper. Check it out below! Photos by Paige Vaughn Photo.

We've got a dazzler for you today! We're totally smitten about this album design that features New England photographer Ruth Eileen's images of a stunning backyard farm wedding. With the bride being a wedding planner, it's no surprise the that style and details of this wedding are a complete dream!! And Ruth's beautiful film + digital images are eye candy we loved working with!

Want to make your album designer's day? When you're shooting portraits on a wedding day, take a few wide shots with your clients off to one side. These photos allow us to design a powerful spread with one full-bleed horizontal image without the gutter cutting through the subject. It's a beautiful way to start or end the design or to add a bit of "wow" to the middle of an album.  
 
We love that Boston & North Shore Wedding and Portrait Photographer Deborah Zoe always creates a few images like that and has communicated to us that she wants her albums to start with a full-bleed image. Today's featured album design starts with one of Deb's gorgeous bride & groom portraits filled with luscious greenery. For another example, check out the lovely golden meadow portrait that kicks off this Massachusetts Barn Wedding Album we designed for Deb previously. Ooooh we're smitten!

Over here at Align, we love-love-love classic & timeless album designs. Our most popular design style is called Classic because it has clean & crisp layouts without extra graphical elements or background colors. And we even have a blog post called 8 Tips For Timeless Album Design for those of you who design your own albums. A wedding album is a couple's first family heirloom, so the goal is that it won't look outdated in 5 years or even 50 years. 
 
We feel like today's featured album design will indeed stand the test of time... not only because of the Classic Design Style that Virginia & DC wedding photographer Kristen Gardner prefers, but also because the black tie event itself has a timeless elegance to it. The attire, venue, and decor will likely all be grandchild approved in 50 years from now! 
 
We love working with Kristen's beautiful photography and we hope you also enjoy it while looking through today's album design.
