Shipping & Returns

Shipping

Align ships via FedEx due to their tracking and service. Align is not liable for a carrier's missed deadline.

Align will send a replacement for any lost or damaged after valid proof has been issued (see details below) If an item is lost or damaged in transit, the buyer must notify Align within 48 hours of receipt/expect delivery, and (in the case of damage) must save all packaging materials for possible inspection. Failure to do so may result in denial of a replacement or repair. Customers are responsible for handling all claims for any item shipped/packaged through their own arrangements (e.g., shipping from your studio to your client's home). Once the books have arrived at the shipping address indicated on the order, Align is no longer liable for any damage caused by re-shipping.

Warranty

Align warranties our books for life against any manufacturer defect, but is not responsible for books that have been dropped, put in extreme (hot/cold/damp/etc.) environments, or otherwise mishandled. We guarantee the workmanship of your book. On the off chance your book arrives with a manufacturing defect, contact us within 48 hours of receipt. We'll make things right. Please understand that, except for the cases expressly described in this return policy, Align cannot otherwise cancel orders, accept returns, or provide refunds.

If a book is defective, Align will start the remake upon proof of the problem (usually a photo is plenty). If we agree the book should be replaced, you have 2 options regarding the bad book: You can purchase the defect for 50% of the price and keep it as a sample or sell it to your client; or you can return the book to Align (we will provide a return label). Align will not ship the remake until the damaged book has been either paid for or returned.

Please note that each book you order from us is individually made by top-notch, professional, book-crafting staff. There may be minor differences across different prints of the same books and/or across books printed by our different book-printing staff, including, but not limited to, slight variances in color fidelity and binding type. While we work very hard to keep our product as consistent as possible, this variation in a hand-made product is a normal occurrence and is not considered a manufacturing defect or a defect in workmanship. Leather Align Legacy Books use 100% natural-grain leather, and as such, there may be slight variations in grain, color, and texture.

Errors in layout or design once the proof is approved on the print confirmation page where the book is ordered are not Align's responsibility.

Your book is all yours: upon finalization Align is not responsible to proof, edit, or change your content in any way. It is your responsibility to review your design before ordering. Look for design issues, including book format, organization, style, color, and or page layout. Before you order, you are asked to approve a final slideshow. This slideshow is made from the exact files your book will be printed from. We encourage you to look through it very carefully to make sure everything is as you desire. Once you've approved your online preview of a book, changes most likely can't be made as the printing/production process is extremely rapid.
