We have had the honor of working with Wisconsin-based photographer Lisa Mathewson since 2014! So crazy -- 7 years! And her work just keeps getting better and better! We were completely drawn into the story of this wedding told through the pages of this design. The color-story, the classic/vintage vibe, the timeless quality it exudes. Lisa hit this one out of the park and we are so excited to share it with you today! 
 
We only mix black and white and color images on spreads when the photographer indicates on their order form that they are ok with this, as Lisa did for this album. I believe the resulting design here is a great example of how mixing the two can be really artfully done. That's one of the things that gives this design such a timeless feel! 
 
One final note on this album -- we were so touched to learn that this album was a gift for the bride from her parents. So sweet!

We so love to see the finished printed albums from the designs we create! It's so fulfilling to see the final product that will serve to establish a family's legacy. Today's featured design was done for Dallas-based photographer Courtney Bosworth and printed by our friends at KISS! This album design is special for me because it was done for one of my friends! Ellen and Vance eloped five years ago in Norway and it was such a magical snowy wedding day. Their wedding story was beautifully capture by Norway-based husband and wife team Wide in Wonder.  
 
Ellen is a long time friend of both mine and one of our designers, Andrea. Andrea generously offered to design this album as a gift to Ellen and then we were able to print it at cost for her. It brings me so much joy to be able to bless others with the gift of a wedding album -- even years after their wedding! Ellen and Vance have two sweet kiddos and I can just imagine how cherished this book will be as their children grow up flipping through it! 
 
A special thank-you goes out to Stipi and Kristine for allowing us to feature this album showcasing your stunning photos! And to Ellen for taking photos of the printed Align Legacy Book! Ellen chose our Carob leather, for the cover, with text clear debossed in Helvetica Neue font.

I mean....ya'll. This album design makes all our white wedding dreams come truuuuue! It's the quintessential dream southern wedding and it was photographed by one of our favorites -- Birmingham, Alabama-based Rebecca Long! We've been working with Rebecca for 7 years and have designed close to 70 albums for her! We feel so truly blessed that so many photographers like Rebecca have allowed us to be a part of their teams and serve their clients for so long! 
 
Rebecca often uses our tip to request a list of images that are LEFT OUT of the design. Clients often think they need a bazillion images in their album, but then once they see how well their story is told through the initial design, they have much better perspective about which images are truly crucial and which are repetitive/unnecessary. To request this list from your designer, write something in the Additional Notes section of the album design order form such as "This client has a lot of favorite images, so feel free to use slightly more than usual. Please send me a list of the unused images after you've finished the initial design."
